The Blue Waters: FieldWalk from Canada Water and Back Again |
Down Surrey Quays
they dye the water blue;
we walked through
gaggles of geese
gaggles of ducks
gaggles of pubs
gaggles of landmarks
strange collectives
lapping the edges
of the blue-drenched puddles
on a path full of mammals
confused, where
water meets Utopias
- some older some newer -
the printing fortress
a UFO skewed, wondering
whether the ducks
in rainy weather, struggle
tails out of the water
along, past
Rotherhithe Station, waggling
past the Brunel Museum
to the river
Thames for a dip
in clear waters...
